Meeting with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development

A meeting was held between Azizbek Saksonov – Head of Department for Providing Guarantees and Implementing New Services of the State Fund for the support of Entrepreneurship, and Svenya Petersen – Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The meeting was also attended by t.a.d. Head of Economic Analysis and Assets Managment – Kudrat Radjapov and Eric Livni – Central Asia’s Leading Economist of EBRD, Sherzod Akbarov – general manager, and other officials attended.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the activities, goals, functions of the Fund, the types of financial assistance and the opportunities provided by the Fund to entrepreneurs.

At the same time, the EBRD has completed preparations for the draft Terms of Reference for Small and Medium Business Development, monitoring the business environment, taking development measures to remove barriers, and focusing on increasing business efficiency and create new jobs.

Furthermore, representatives of the EBRD also made proposals for the further development of entrepreneurship, the creation of favorable opportunities for entrepreneurs and their support.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cooperation on the above issues.
